I have been incredibly fortunate to be able to merge my passion for art and my love for animals. My completed projects are seldom an exact replication of my initial concepts, as I never adhere to a “recipe.” That is a component of the excitement; who knows how my painting will ultimately turn out? African wildlife is my primary focus; it is the essence of my profession. One example is the zebra, which I admire for the way its black stripes absorb the morning light, thereby warming the animal. The white stripes help keep the animal cool as it grazes in the hot African sun. Yet another stunning illustration of Mother Nature’s genius. I am relishing the opportunity to incorporate the wild inspiration that exists in the world into my work. To further emphasize my inspiration, I surround the animals with vibrant and striking hues. It is truly remarkable how one can seamlessly combine an infinite number of colors.
