Formally known as the Malay Quarters.
It was a former segregated area, situated on the slopes of Signal Hill.
The houses have a Cape Dutch Infused Style & Individualism shown in the bright colours.
This was said to be a celebration of Freedom after Apartheid ended.
Now the colourful Bo-Kaap houses are a source of inspiration for artist and others to reflect its boldness & Multi Facet Blended Community.
